To make sure that playing stimulates a child`s imagination, the forms of Holztiger figures are left minimal. They are timeless and beautifully stylized wooden animals, which allow a child`s imagination to develop while playing.
Holztiger figures are carved from maple, oak, birch and beech wood to meet the demand of hard play. All edges are softened. The figures are handpainted with non-toxic, water-based paint. The grain of the wood is still visible even after painting, so that the full character of the wood is retained. To make the figures more resistant to perspiration and saliva, there is an additional non-toxic, water lacquer topcoat.
